Overview
Salary and benefits : £21,000-23,000 plus Benefits Hours : 41.25 a week Location: 92 Addiscombe Road, Croydon, CR0 5PP Overview of the role As a Third in Charge, you will assist with the management of the day-to-day running of the nursery and you will be responsible for the running and daily programme of educational activities within your room. You will be a key person in providing positive and secure relationships for the children and their families and play a significant role in each child’s daily care and development. To apply for this role you will need to hold a relevant Level 3 qualification or above. Salary and benefits Competitive salary: Up to £23,000 per year Up to 33 days holiday including bank holidays Monthly rewards and high street discounts Refer a friend bonus Up to 40% childcare discounts Free uniform, free training and free DBS check Career Opportunities: Ongoing continuous development and early years quality training and mentoring including funded Level 3 training Main Duties Stimulate and interact with children Assist with the running of the room Liaise with parents regarding children’s progress Attend staff meetings and courses as required Undertake supervision of work placement students and Apprentices Mentor team members with training needs Step into the role of Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager if either are absent Qualifications and experience A Level 3 qualification in Childcare such as NNEB, NVQ, CACHE or recognised equivalent Up-to-date first aid and safeguarding training Good knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Passion for delivering high quality childcare and learning Exceptional communication skills, energy and a positive ‘can do’ attitude Team player Please note that Fennies are a Private Day Nurseries and therefore unfortunately are unable to offer term time opportunities.
