Overview
Senior Practitioner KIDS have a vacancy for a dynamic and creative Senior Practitioner (Home Learning) who will deliver an accredited Portage early intervention service for disabled young children. Location: Camden Department: Home Learning Salary Details: £23,775 FTE per annum Contract: Permanent Hours: Part time, 24 hours per week About KIDS KIDS is a national charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and families since 1970. We work with children, irrespective of their disability or impairment, from birth through to 25 years. Each year we support over 15,000 disabled children, offer over 120 different services and work with about 80 Local Authorities across England. We are passionate, caring and trusted and our vision is a world in which all disabled children and young people realise their aspirations. We offer support and practical help for families, every step of the way. KIDS is committed to safeguarding and successful applicants will be required to undertake stringent recruitment checks including (where applicable) an enhanced DBS check. About the Role The successful candidate will be expected to: To work flexibly to meet the requirements of families, Portage and Local Authorities To manage your own caseload To create a partnership with parents in providing a structured programme of child-led play and family support About You We are looking for a candidate with significant experience of working within early years with children with disabilities. You should have an excellent range of communication skills to engage children, parents and other professionals, and knowledge and understanding of different disabilities/impairments.
