Overview

The Role: Unique opportunity for 8x experienced Shift Team Leaders to work on commissioning & start-up for an Energy to Waste Power Plant in Kent. The work is expected to last 5-6 months and is a 24/7 operation working in 8 hour shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am, working 6 shifts on and 4 days off. Job Role/Responsibilities: Responsible for 4 to 5 persons per shift: TSL, Operator, Maintenance (during the day), Fuel/Chemical Handlers Will each hour check the fire behaviour, the height of the layer, the risk of bridging. Organise and plan the shift/control room (day/night) operations, training. Handovers to the commissioning manager and project management. Start the plant up from cold and shut the plant down from hot in accordance with the operating guidelines. Answering and documenting any troubleshooting from the plants operation. Will have responsibility for ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered too. Monitor emissions limit value while in operation as well as incineration condition. Essential Skills/Qualifications: CCNSG Passport Experience and understanding of waste energy power plants (conventional power plants will be considered) is essential. HNC/HND/NVQ in a relevant discipline (electrical, mechanical etc).
