Data Modelling Lead 6 month contract (Potential for 1 day remote per week) Hove, Brighton £500 - £550 per day (PAYE or Umbrella) Advantage Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Data Modelling Lead to join a Global Energy company in Hove, Brighton. Vacancy Overview Our client is currently looking to build a strong in-house capability to manage and maximise the value of their Architecture from Business through to Data and Application Architecture across on-premise and cloud based technologies. The Data Modelling Lead will work with the Senior Manager of Data Management & the Data Architect Lead to develop the Data Architecture operating model, set the strategic direction, design the capability model and lead the implementation plan across our clients customers division. Principal Accountabilities Contribute to the delivery of the new operating model to enhance Data Architecture capabilities across cloud and on premise platforms. Contribute to the delivery of the plan to drive adoption of assets such as Business Glossary, Data Dictionary and demonstrating value and overcome cultural barriers to Data Management best practice. Contribute to the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable data architecture and ensure consistency of data across the business Enforce principles of good data design across new platforms, data lakes and changes to existing source systems Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience Knowledge of data architecture, data design principles and data modelling standards and proven experience in the application of these Extensive experience of Business Glossary implementations Extensive experience in the building of taxonomies and linking definitional artefacts to Data Models Hands on experience with modern "Big Data" systems (e.g. Amazon RedShift, Snowflake, Athena, Glue) Snowflake is a bonus Solid understanding of data principles, concepts and best practices (e.g. ODS, Data Mart, Data Lakes) Submit your CV now to be considered for this fantastic opportunity to work with a Global Energy company in Hove, Brighton.
