Overview

Server & Desktop Support Team Security Clearance: Valid SC level clearance is a mandatory requirement. Background: To join the SDS Team to provide support of distributed computer systems and designs and develops integrated solutions through tools, processes and procedures. Provides technical support in appropriate distributed system environments for Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Citrix & Vmware. Role Description: Provides technical expertise for appropriate level distributed systems environments on issues related to servers, local services, data centers, server configuration, and to ensure that client needs are met. Participates in requirements definition, specification, design, development, and integration of Microsoft Windows systems and on projects to ensure services adhere to client specifications. Tests, integrates, maintains, and addresses escalated problems related to Wintel systems for smaller sized projects, including testing and integrating hardware and software, using appropriate resources. Provide configuration management, inventory management, fault management, and trouble management support on already established servers or networks. Supports maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments. Performs risk and consequence assessment for projects; assists in identifying cost reduction opportunities to safeguard company and client interests. Supports periodic maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments. Typical Outputs and Deliverables: Coordinates with other technical staff in providing clients and customer with appropriate level of support for all account services. Desirable Skills: Four or more years of related experience in Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Active Directory, Citrix, Vmware Experience Experience working with computer server hardware, operating systems, and specific applications within Wintel systems environments Experience working with systems management frameworks, protocols, and tooling including SCCM Key Attributes: Organisation skills to balance and prioritise work Communication skills to interact with Management, team members and support staff Skilled in integrating distributed computing hardware and software systems Interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, and senior level personnel Ability to work in a team environment that will include providing on call support Willingness to travel – must have full driving licence May require occasional shift work This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89822480
