Permanent Site Engineer - East Midlands Based - Regional Sub-Contractor My client is an established regional family run Sub Contractor specialising in groundworks for a variety of principal contractors. They undertake projects in the following areas; Commercial Education Housing Health care Retail Private Sector Local Authority This vacancy has come about due to an increase in workload and expansion as a business unit and they are looking for someone to join their very close knit team. Successful candidates will benefit from working on a range of schemes for Tier 1/2 Principal contractors giving you a variety of experiences and enabling you to broaden your skill set. The majority of works will take place across the East Midlands with sites spanning Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and pushing into South Yorkshire. The ideal candidate would be from a Sub-Contractor background who is used to working on their own. Duties Establishing primary site control Setting out & surveying Check drawings and quantities as well as reading designs. Liaise with Principal-contractors and any consultants engaged in the project. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise. Introduce improvements and innovation where possible. Your profile 3 years experience Formal qualification preferred – e.g. HND in construction related discipline ideal Committed, Enthusiastic, Strong work ethic , Independent thinker CSCS Card.
