Overview

The Company Service business is seeking to recruit a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. The Role Providing 3rd line support for cloud technologies, across the network and server environments, you will assist with project delivery with both internal and external support vendors across a wide range of technologies. The role will require incidents and requests to be resolved in an efficient and professional manner and in line with service level agreements. Specifically you will: Provide quality IT support and project delivery Configure and deliver cloud infrastructure, 3rd party tools and integration Provide technical consultation on current and proposed cloud infrastructure Assist in planning and scoping for highly available cloud solutions Support existing cloud infrastructures to the Service Desk team when required Maintain and create required technical documentation In addition, you will adopt of DevOps culture, and keeping up to date with the latest cloud offerings in the industry Within this role you have the freedom to explore and provide the best solutions for the organisation and in turn develop your technical skills by supporting and configuring some challenging and interesting products and technologies. The Requirements Having previous 3rd line infrastructure support experience, the individual will be technically minded and have at least 1 year's experience in delivering cloud solutions using eg, AWS or Azure and: Be proficient with core Microsoft services - AD, Exchange, Office365, DHCP, DNS, ADFS, SMTP, MFA and SSO Have configured and maintained MS Windows 2012 and 2016 Servers Possess experience in managing virtualised environments (VMware and Hyper-V) Be experienced in managing MS SQL 2008 through to 2018 (i.e. backup/restore, general maintenance and clustering/replication) Exposure to Linux and the LAMP stack will be beneficial though not essential. Candidates though should possess some knowledge, if not experience, of DevOps. Fundamental to the role is the ability to offer exceptional customer service through excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills.
