A Senior/Lead Full Stack Javascript Developer is required to join a fast growing internet startup based in the City of London. The client has a best-in-class and award-winning SaaS platform, which operates in the urban technology and digital consultation space. This is an exciting time to join as the company have ambitious commercial growth plans and a social mission. They are looking for both a Senior and Mid level Full Stack Engineer who is expert in Node.js to join their small and collaborative team. The successful candidate will be passionate about the challenge of building a product that is a joy to use. The client has a best-in-class and award-winning SaaS platform, which operates in the urban technology and digital consultation space. They have recently received £3 million in funding and are looking to grow their team. They are moving towards improving their core offering in order to reach more people and technically are looking to bring on more tools to help scale and automate a lot of their tools. You have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in machine learning, mapping and language analysis. Skills: Experience developing with NodeJS. Experience developing with front-end frameworks such as React or Vue. An appetite for testing and an awareness of the challenges involved in taking ownership of code Experience using and developing on MongoDB or another database. Experience developing web applications Confidence in advocating for creative solutions. Understanding of server-side applications frameworks Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors (Sass) understanding of JS task runners/build tools (NPM scripts, ParcelJS, Webpack) Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application An understanding of architecture, in particular, the use of a cloud provider such as AWS. Stack: JavaScript, React, NodeJS, AWS, IaC, Terraform, ExpressJS, MongoDB, Machine Learning. The right sort of Engineer for this position is someone who is willing to learn and contribute to the wider team. You will have great communication skills and be approachable. You will be comfortable working alone or a part of a team. You face coding challenges head-on and you’re are not afraid to leave your comfort zone when you have your mind set on defeating a challenge.
