Senior Software Engineer Middlesbrough - £50k per annum Bens Our client who are a major leader in their field are seeking the skills and experience of a Senior Software Engineer. This is a key hire for the company, as they seek to hire top talent to ensure that their product is developed to high standards and retain a competitive edge in the market. Essential Skills: · You must have a solid background in a similar development or engineering role · Experience in Java OR Microsoft C# · A good understanding of SQL · Experience in JavaScript and Angular · Understanding of API’s / REST · Experience of unit testing · Able to identify technical risks and propose alternative solutions · Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies and project management · Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice. Degree level or equivalent education preferred in a relevant subject such as computer sciences, computer engineering, information management systems, software development or business information systems etc. Desirable skills: · Previous experience of Java, .Net or JavaScript, Subversion, Eclipse or equivalent IDE, continuous integration tools, jUnit or equivalent testing frameworks, the Java Spring library.
