Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for full time Experienced Support Workers working with a young gentleman living in the Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire area. The support workers will work within his home in a facilitator/support worker role. We are looking for bright, energetic and motivated people who are proactive and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care. You will have a key role in facilitating the rehabilitation programme which is developed by the treating therapy team. You should be quick and free thinking, enabling him to lead a life that is fulfilling and meaningful. Maximising his physical and psychological well-being and promoting his independence and safety at all times. We are looking for people who are invested in building and developing a strong therapeutic relationship, in which our client is empowered to have his voice and choices advocated. Giving help and assistance with all activities of daily living, personal care and independent living. You should have good communication skills be competent at recording and reporting. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the client’s life and to join a great team of care workers and therapists. Standards of excellence are strived for. Full training and ongoing support provided with the opportunities to progress with professional development. Applicants must have previous experience and understanding of working with brain injury/cerebral palsy. Working hours: 36 hours per week, to consist of days, nights and weekends on a rota basis. Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible. Rates of pay £11.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £13.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday, £104.64 per sleep in shift. An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training. All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential and you will be required to drive the clients adapted vehicle.
