Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Hammersmith & Fulham Council to provide them with Senior Social Worker on a 3-6 month contract which is likely to be extended into a long-term contract. This role is 36 hours per week and offers a pay rate of £25.00 - £35.00 per hour . This may be negotiable dependent on your experience. As a successful Senior Social Worker, your duties will include: Provide a preventative and rehabilitative service within the expectations of the Children’s Act To carry out risk assessments in situations where children are referred as ‘being in need’ of protection, accommodation or care provisions. To aim that children should remain with their own families wherever possible. To plan a secure and permanent home where necessary, and ensuring they still hold relevant information on their natural parents. To undertake student supervision and supervision of family support workers by agreement with the team managers. To draw up and participate in an emergency duty rota within specific roles Liaise with relevant external agencies e.g. police, health authority etc. and colleagues within other divisions and council departments. To be responsible for individual client case planning in line with the professional standards of the Department. To be responsible for professional decisions within the Department’s priorities framework and in relation to specific procedural guideline referring to consultation within Management. To be considered for this position, you will have the following knowledge/experience: a) Experience: Experience of working in the children social care sector previously Experience of understanding the needs of children in need or at risk and those who are looked after in relation to their age and development ability Experience of implementing and reviewing case plan. b) Additional Degree in Social work and 1 years PQE in childcare (including section 47 legal proceedings) HCPC Registered If you wish to be put forward, please apply below and contact Dale Singh Spencer Clarke Group. / WHY SPENCER CLARKE?
