Essential: Experience supporting a young client with additional needs, non smoker / non vaper Start Date: ASAP Days & Hours: Sunday: 2.00pm – 7.30pm. About this client/child: Our lovely client Georgie is 5 years old, he is very active, adventurous and has lots of energy Georgie enjoys climbing, swimming, playing on his swings and soft play. He lives at home with Mum, Dad, and his little sister. Georgie sustained a brain injury at birth and as a result has cerebral palsy, developmental delay and learning difficulties. He is nonverbal and supports his communication through sounds, facial expressions, and body language. Georgie can crawl, bottom shuffle and pull himself up to a standing position; he is a very determined little boy. Overview of role: Georgie requires full support to meet all of his care needs; you’ll assist with all aspects of his care plan, therapy, learning, education, and play. This is a practical, hands-on sole charge role working in the family home and out and about in the community. Georgie can experience difficulty with self-regulation, episodes of anxiety, sensory overload and frustration in certain situations so previous experience in this area would be beneficial.
