The Guinness Care Supported Living Team has recently been rated as Outstanding by CQC and we are now looking for Care and Support Workers that will continue the excellent work in our Crediton based services. We are a not-for-profit organisation that puts our customers of the heart of all we do. About the role This is a role that offers real job satisfaction, you will get to see and feel the difference that you are making. Our customers are adults with learning disabilities and need your support to live their life to the full. The work will be varied as you will be working with our customers to pursue their ambitions and interests, as well as providing support around the home. You will be delivering personal care (toileting / washing / dressing), administering medication, providing financial support, meal planning , nutrition advice, skill development to further independence, work alongside professionals regarding the customers welfare, attend medical appointments and supporting our customers with activities such as cycling, shopping, beach visits, watching sports, networking via social media, evenings out and much more besides Who we are looking for Experience in the care sector is desirable but not essential as full training is provided, most importantly you will need to have a compassionate and caring nature, a great sense of humour and be committed to making a real difference to our customer’s lives. We also need the following: Availability to work shifts between 7am and 10pm including alternate weekends You should be comfortable supporting customers with personal care (toileting/washing etc) Full UK Driving licence with access to own vehicle Have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
