Overview
A well-established Top 50 Accountancy practice, are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their office based in the City. The Company Based in London, our client is a well established and highly reputable Top 50 firm. The business has a wide range of clients across retail, fashion, construction and hospitality. They are large enough to handle complex assignments while also being able to retain their ability to give clients the personal attention they need. The business prides themselves in the breadth and quality of advice given to clients. The Role This is a key role within the accounts team and will report to and work with the Manager and Partners. The varied nature of the role offers excellent all round exposure as well as a clear route for progression for nominated staff to enter onto a development programme. Responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following: Preparation of monthly and quarterly Management Accounts Preparation of bank and cash reconciliations Bookkeeping including preparing, processing and recording bank transactions, processing purchase, sales and general ledger entries Preparation and online submissions of quarterly VAT returns, EC sales lists and monthly declarations The Candidate A successful candidate will need a high level of education. Ideally candidates will be either AAT/ACCA part qualified/qualified. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following: Three years relevant practical experience working in a firm of accountants preparing Management Accounts Good VAT knowledge Detailed knowledge of Sage Line 50, Xero and Quickbooks with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping and quick processing skills Experience of completing and submitting CIS returns Good understanding of expenses and benefits and the preparation of P11D’s and PSA’s Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads whilst working under pressure Confident to work at clients premises unsupervised What’s on Offer A fantastic package incorporating a competitive salary, generous healthcare and pension package, and a superb working environment in a company which rewards its staff.
