Financial Analyst

Manufacturing business based in the Bredbury area requires a Financial Analyst for their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Finance this is an excellent role that will offer development and progression to the right person. The role has been created due to the rapid growth of the business both nationally and internationally. The key focus of the role is to drive business improvement through improved financial insight and analysis driving recommendations for change or improvement. Duties of the role will include: Working with the team to develop a suite of MI reports detailing performance of each of the areas of the business to identify risks/opportunities, focus resources and improve profitability Production of weekly trading analysis and financial forecast for the next 12 months Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary Contributing to Monthly Cost Centre review with Cost Centre owners In depth inventory reporting, analysis, monitoring and investigations Supporting the budget, forecasting and planning processes for the business Supporting reporting to Parent Company Preparation of ad-hoc analysis. The right candidate for the role will have; Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and explain complex information in a clear and concise way Excellent analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving, can-do attitude Advanced Excel skills, plus ideally experience in PowerPivot and Power BI Experience of building and querying SQL databases desirable but not essential Studying towards Financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA) Experience of KPI reporting and reviews with management at all levels.
