Overview

About the role As a Senior Team Administrator for the Surrey Children's Services Workforce Academy you will be joining the Quality Performance division at a time of significant change, as we transform our Children's Services. We have a new management in place and are implementing innovative approaches to what we do to deliver our vision. We are now looking to grow business support within the academy to support the learning journey of developing the workforce of the council and its partners. We are looking for a full time Senior Administrator to work in this varied and interesting role within the Children, Families & Learning Business Support Team, initially based at County Hall in Kingston upon Thames. You will be highly organised, willing to take responsibility and use initiative and comfortable in setting your own priorities and meeting deadlines. You will make sure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and teams you support and, as a Senior Administrator, you will support more junior staff to ensure daily workflow is completed to timescales. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication skills. You will have experience of working with highly confidential information in a customer focused environment and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Please note that the Kingston office will be relocating in 2020 and that Council staff will be working in an increasingly agile way. A willingness to travel across the County is required as part of this role. We are looking for someone who: Has a solid background in administration Has experience of working in a busy office environment Has experience of managing workflow and/or leading more junior staff Has excellent customer service and communication skills Is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to your work Has excellent IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Office Please make sure you refer to the full job description attached at the bottom of this advert for further information about the role.
