Overview
Learning and Development Manager - Watford - Head Office - 9 Month FTC (May/June Start Date) - Up to £50K I am currently supporting my national client with a L&D Manager based at their Head Office in Watford with a remit of leading their L&D strategy. The role is on an initial 9 month FTC to start in May/June and is paying up to £50K. Job Description Reporting into the HR Director the successful candidate will work with experts and other key stakeholders based within the business to deliver against a sustainability agenda which enhances business performance and supports the Company's strategy and long-term interests. You will provide Learning & Development expertise and consultancy services across various areas of the business ensuring solutions and products are fit for purpose, support overall business strategy and contribute to the development of workforce excellence. Key Responsibilities You will work with key stakeholders including heads of functions in head office, distribution, retail and installations, the HR team, Directors and management to develop and deliver plans that assist individuals, teams and divisions to achieve their business objectives ensuring all strands of learning across the sites remain professional and of a high standard. You will also: Evaluate the effectiveness of key L&D activities tracking return on investment and expectations of key programmes and events. Prioritising workloads and dealing with business stakeholders to manage expectations and timescales. This includes ad-hoc projects that require L&D support alongside BAU. Collaborate with the HR BPs to ensure the needs of each division are being met in line with company strategy. Design, development and delivery of learning interventions in line with business requirements. Deliver training interventions, including the senior management community or on high profile projects across the business to support the learning agenda (where applicable) Skillset/Experience Proven experience of managing a multi-functional apprenticeship programme Knowledge and experience of using different learning theories Designed and delivered training in a customer-facing environment Team leadership, experience of inspiring and driving a team of L&D professionals Senior stakeholder management, comfortable presenting at Board level
