Passionate and Dedicated Performing Arts/Dance Teacher- Permanent Position- Hillingdon- April/May 2020 Are you a passionate and dedicated, highly skilled Performing Arts/Dance Teacher? Are you passionate about teaching students from a wide range of ability levels, including those with learning difficulties including those with SEN? • Flexible start April/May 2020 (Start date can be flexible). • Salary of £28,300- £40,035- depending on experience, plus £2,209 SEN allowance. • My client school and I are seeking a passionate and dedicated performing Arts Teacher to join their well-established team from April/May 2020. This school provide specialist education for 185 pupils, aged between 3.5-19 years old. They deploy a wide range of teaching strategies to engage and develop the progress of learners, who present with a range of learning difficulties and styles. Our students are taught in smaller class sizes and all students work towards a specialist curriculum tailored to their individual needs. We are looking to appoint a qualified, dynamic and experienced GCSE Dance/Performing Arts Teacher who is enthusiastic, committed and reliable with a passion to work with our pupils. You will be a strong and knowledgeable Teacher in your specialist subject of Performing Arts and be confident teaching to GCSE level. We aim to nurture growth and develop every individual to their potential and we value staff development, providing good opportunities for subject expertise. The Role- performing Arts/Dance Teacher • Plan, deliver and teach Performing Arts to individual students or small groups • Devise, implement and review individual education and behaviour plans alongside other staff, communicating regularly with parents, carers, teaching and clinical staff to ensure consistency • Positively contribute to the overall programme of learning for each student to ensure their progression • Organise your classroom, resources and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students • Safeguard all students and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times Person specification- Performing Arts/Dance Teacher • Hold a UK trained Teacher qualification • Have proven experience of teaching Dance and/or Performing Arts. • Be experienced working within a SEN setting, ideally with ASD although not essential • Have experience of planning, delivering and teaching lessons to a good or outstanding level If you are a dynamic and adaptable individual looking to join our team as a GCSE Performing Arts Teacher, please apply immediately.
