Overview
Rutherford Briant are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant based in Ipswich. This is for a highly regarded organisation, which has a long-established affiliation with the area. They are commercial, ethical and support local communities. This role is an interesting one which will utilise technical skills as well as liaising with senior stakeholders. In this role, you will be the primary contact for all enquires relating to fixed assets and capital expenditure. This will include the production and review of management information relating to capex including actuals, budget and forecast. In addition to ongoing fixed assets, you will be responsible to prepare annual financial statements for the business. Key Responsibilities: Day to day maintenance of the fixed assets register including capturing additions, disposals and asset transfers Running and reviewing the month end depreciation calculation in line with the management accounts timetable Reports for ongoing capital projects with analysis of actuals compared to budget for all completed projects. Preparing the year end fixed assets related notes to the accounts at both group and subsidiary level Assisting the property team in the year end valuation of all investment’s properties Maintaining strong relationships with the internal Building Services and Property teams to ensure information flows freely in both directions Cashflow forecasting and reporting in respect of capital expenditure Liaising with the Leadership Team and Senior Management to prepare annual Capex budgets Preparation of the subsidiary financial statements Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects The ideal candidate will be fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA and comfortable working with large amounts of financial data. Someone looking to make a first move out of practice, would also be desirable.
