Graduate Technical Assistant. West Midlands - M5 / M6. Circa £20,000. Founded nearly a century ago, my 'award winning' client is a leading provider of surface treatment solutions, throughout the world. Their diverse metal finishing services include plating and anodising, and they operate in some of the most lucrative markets; including aerospace, automotive and defence. Their success has been testament to consistently exceeding the quality of other manufacturers and as a result, they continue to grow at an excellent rate. Due to further expansion, a Technical Assistant position has now arisen within the team and they see it as the perfect role for a graduate to be trained and developed. They are open to considering people with a degree in Material Science, Metallurgy or Chemistry and will design an excellent training program that includes working with some of the best minds in the industry. The role will be varied and enable you to gain experience within a variety of disciplines; both in the office and on the shop floor. Your duties will include the following: Experimentation on the process lines and components. Assist Managing Director with handling HSE and environmental issues. Dealing with customer queries. Assist with internal technical issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to learn, an eye for detail, be well organized and both practical and motivated. My client is offering a starting salary in the region of £20,000 with the opportunity to progress beyond your role in the near future.
