Overview

The Role Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is seeking a Data Solution Architect for its Global Marketing & Business Development (MBD) team who has held a previous/similar role within a global services organisation. This person will support the delivery of MBD programmes within the firm, working across the firm to lead the development of complex definitions and specifications for data and related systems across MBD programmes, ensuring the data architecture solution is optimised and meets the requirements of MBD projects. Key responsibilities and deliverables This person will: Have a 'no task is too small' attitude and a willingness to get into the details Direct and coordinate activities to identify and evaluate and interpret requirements for data integration and data mining Define overarching solution architecture for MBD programmes, taking into consideration the data structures and dependent systems Lead data audit activities and assist with the development of processes to ensure data accuracy Develop, normalise, validate and maintain configuration control of complex data models Determine data structure of applications Have 10 years of data architect experience in a global capacity Have knowledge and experience in the legal, financial or professional services industries Key requirements Prior experience designing, implementing and deploying marketing-related systems and pipelines Data Science, machine learning, statistical models concepts and application Relational databases, e.g. SQL Server Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems Experience with marketing platforms and other marketing technologies (eg Pardot, Marketo, Eventogy, etc.) Experience working with cross-functional global teams Ability to travel between Manchester and London frequently Competencies Effective communicator and collaborator Ability to easily and effectively connect and relate to senior leadership and executives About Marketing & Business Development A creative group ranging from client managers and communications experts, to designers and data wizards, our Marketing and Business Development team are a dynamic and talented global team, operating in a fast moving environment. Our services are delivered in a way which supports the global nature of our firm and our clients, enables our fee earners to deliver exceptional service to our clients and to do that in a way which is efficient and effective. Our Centre in Manchester is the first site to be established in the emerging Freshfields Global operating model. Our aspiration is to establish further sites in the US and Asia-Pacific in the coming years. Function Overview Managing relationships with clients effectively and winning new business are critical to our firm. We need experienced business-to-business marketing and operations professionals with a deep understanding of the requirements of leading international clients. You will be part of an international team. Roles in the Freshfields Global Centre (Europe) will have specific responsibility for managing the systems, processes and information that underpin our client relationship management and business development activities. You can expect considerable scope to demonstrate your imagination. It's also important that you bring meticulous attention to detail and a structured approach. The ability to work with stakeholders remotely as well as a passion for improvement is key to being successful within our team.
