Overview

Our Client is looking for a Venue Technology Manager, who will be assigned to a specific cluster and will be responsible for all aspects of technology planning, delivery and operations within their cluster. He/she will also form part of the VTS leadership team and be required to deliver central technology projects that may influence all venues. Within the Technology department, the Venue Technology Services (VTS) functional area is responsible for the planning, delivery and operation of technology solutions and services at each competition and non-competition venue. Venues are clustered into similar types (established venues, greenfield sites, stadia etc.) to align resources across the organisation, and to create efficiencies in planning and delivery. This is a senior role within the Venue Technology Services team and over time will involve line management responsibility of assigned Venue Technology Managers (VTMs). You will lead the overall planning, design, delivery, implementation, testing, operation, decommissioning and reinstatement of all technology services and solutions required at all competition and non-competition venues within their cluster. Requirements: PRINCE2, PMP or similar industry recognised project management certification or Degree in IT or a related discipline. Previous multi-sport event experience with an understanding of the dynamics and relationships between key delivery departments.Proven project delivery experience within significant technology programmes or projects. Experience of delivering large, multifaceted projects as a lead project manager. Line/matrix management of teams in excess of 10 permanent, contract or volunteer staff.
