Overview
Our client, a leading L500 law firm with offices across the UK, are seeking in-house Law Costs Draftsman and or qualified Cost Lawyers to join their drafting team. The role will include drafting Legal Aid bills for assessment & High Cost case plans, inter partes bills and private client bills. You will be anticipated to draft bills, negotiate, prepare costs budgets and be able to draft points of dispute and points of reply. Prior knowledge in drafting bills in some of the following areas of practice will be helpful; Clinical negligence, Court of Protection, Personal Injury, Family/Children, Housing, Judicial Review and Litigation. Applications are invited from experienced Costs Draftsman and Cost Lawyers. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge and experience in the full life cycle of costs from budgets through to negotiating. Experience in advocacy will be an advantage.
