About the role You will be responsible for supervising contracts with an annual value of circa £2-3m and ensuring projects are completed in the most efficient way in accordance with Anchor Hanover performance specifications. You will support the Senior Asset Investment Surveyor to ensure projects are delivered in line with the Anchor Hanover client best practice principles and collaborative delivery processes. The collaborative approach requires honesty and transparency and the Asset Investment Surveyors to work to expose and deal with problems forthrightly. You will be responsible for ensuring effective relationships with stakeholders in the Housing and Care Operations teams within their programme. Close liaison with the Repairs Surveyor is required to ensure a joined-up property offering. About you You will have working knowledge of relevant current building practices and legislation including Health & Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations, Party Wall Act, Workplace Regulations, CDM and British and European Standards You will have previous experience of teamwork and contractor management, project management experience working on planned works programmes is essential as is previous building surveyor experience and ideally you will have previously worked in the care and rented/ leasehold housing sector You will have the ability to use own initiative when managing varied & broad workload, and to be proactive and self motivated, learn quickly and adopt best practice and take ownership of issues and drive through to conclusion It is essential that you have strong organisational and time management skills, sound communication skills and a flexible and co-operative approach and be a team player.
