To ensure that the UK Region has in place the appropriate Governance framework, Policies and procedures in place to enable decisions to be made by the right people at the right time with the right MI and in a consistently controlled manner. Some of the accountabilities and responsibilities will include: To provide comprehensive, high quality secretarial support to the UK Risk & Control Committee (RACC) and Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee (ARCC) so that they operate efficiently To ensure the RACC and ARCC are effective Committees, taking risk based decisions and actions using focussed, concise MI, supported by a fit for purpose Terms of Reference (ToR) Ensure there are good information flows into and out of the RACC and ARCC and that the UK Governance structure 'fits together' To manage the development and implementation of the UK Policy framework, collaborating with Group Risk Team, to ensure that there is a well understood, consistent approach to Policy Management from inception, communication of requirements to ongoing adherence and bi annual reviews To oversee Policy adherence by ensuring Policy owners are clear on their accountabilities, there is an effective process to report on non-adherence at different levels and the impact of policy breaches are quickly reported on and ramifications reflected in RCSAs (Risk and Control Self Assessments) Drive tangible improvements in the quality of Risk Reporting both within 2nd line Risk team and influence 1st line so that Risk MI is clear, concise and driving decisions and actions To identify and advise on Governance and Policy issues as required To support wider Governance initiatives or projects as required To provide clear and effective line management of the Risk Analyst How do we say thank you? Experience in a similar senior risk management role Experience of working in a financial services environment Experience of working in a Compliance Monitoring role Excellent understanding of the tools and techniques of Risk & Control Management Knowledge and experience of Financial Services Compliance/Regulatory Risk Knowledge and experience of working in Internal Audit would be an advantage A strong people manager with experience of leading teams An inherent and effective ability to influence the risk management agenda throughout the organisation Effective relationship building and stakeholder management skills Capability of operating in a fast paced and constantly changing landscape An ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent skills in multi-tasking and managing priorities An approach that is diligent and professional and that engenders trust with others Once you get here, you'll still be going places.
