My client, a leading global freight forwarder, is looking to recruit an Account Manager to look after a major account as well as a portfolio of smaller accounts. It may be that this role is upgraded to Account Management Team Leader/Supervisor. Role: Freight Forwarding Account Manager/Account Management Team Leader Location: Manchester Salary: Competitive Responsibility for the effective operation and management/development of one or more international accounts Tasked with the delivery of end-to-end supply chain service and operational excellence to exceed customer expectations ensuring growth and ongoing relations. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Previous account management experience within the freight forwarding sector essential Commercially Astute Experience of ocean freight and airfreight movements from start to finish Commercial and Financial awareness, and experience of handling complex multi-product tender/project responses Demonstrable experience of development and/or Account Development in intricate logistics environments is essential Excellent communicator with first class presentation skills Excellent relationship building skills Stable employment history
