Position Title: ACCOUNT MANAGER CHANNEL Business Group: Global Sales & Marketing No. of Positions: 1 Requisition Number: 89177BR Job Category: Sales, Services, and Solutions Relocation Eligible: No Position Summary: UK Channel Account Manager , will have responsibility for: daily management, liaison and development of market making and market serving Channel partners (distributors, Safety Independents) in country to ensure they meet short and long term sales and commercial objectives as well as sustainable and profitable growth - developing and driving Rockwell business with distribution partners and customers within their region - ensuring effective communication, engagement and collaboration between all parties to accelerate business and customer performance and, foster alignment between Rockwell and its Channel partners. Primary responsibility is in leading the relationship between Distribution partners and RA sales teams with increased collaboration, to ensure sales and operational performance objectives are met, the customer base grows and progresses for sustainable and profitable growth. Working closely with the Sales Management team, Account Managers, Field Business Leaders, Marketing and other business areas to identify, capture and maximise business growth opportunities with current and new customers, achieve business performance objectives and facilitate corrective action plans if necessary. The role will be field based and focused predominantly on Northern England and Scotland with a base at one Rockwell's UK offices dependent upon home location. The post holder will be expected to be present at Channel partner locations and current/potential new customers on a weekly/frequent basis and also attend Rockwell, Distributor and Channel specific meetings at locations throughout the UK as required. Qualifications: Personal Characteristics Proactive , self starter Excellent communication, relationship and negotiation skills to foster collaborative environments Results driven with clear focus on achievement of targets Ability to work and relate effectively with all operational and management levels within both customer and channel environments Able to positively influence without authority and coach both work colleagues and channel personnel Ability to create focus, motivate others and self Collaborates & teams effectively Customer Centric Demonstrates business & financial acumen and contributes professional & technical expertise Thinks & acts strategically and comfortable in leading change Demonstrates ethical behaviour in accordance with Rockwell Automation values, policies and procedures Professional Experience Minimum of 5 years proven working and in a sales role with sales process disciplines and a focus on selling automation products/services Strong breadth of knowledge of automation products and industry to include PLCs, Drives, Networks and Service Contracts Ideally knows Rockwell Automation from sales to product businesses and competitive advantage Excellent knowledge of channel models and distributor types in country Proven experience in driving strategic and operational business development to maximise revenue and profitability via channel management Can identify and extract key issues from information gathered, analyse and resolve issues in pragmatic and effective ways Be proficient in analysing and monitoring sales and financial results and react accordingly to drive balanced growth across multiple business units Understanding and insight of competitive strategies and market trends as well as their commercial and practical impacts Ability to work in a complex matrix organisational environment Educational Requirements Degree in a business or engineering/technical related field or equivalent, with sound commercial acumen Country(s): United Kingdom Company Overview: Over centuries, the world has evolved and advanced.
