Quantity Surveyor - Central LondonPermanentJob Summary:Fission Recruitment are keen to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our clients multi-disciplinary specialist teams. An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team to support and assist in the commercial management of contracts from feasibility through to completion. This position will be working on Light Rail projects based in Central London.Key duties will include:Monitor, review, analyse and report on all contract costs for allocated projectsPrepare monthly reconciliations of contract performance on a contract by contract basis.Management of subcontractors.Prepare client applications for payment and associated reporting.Carry out pricing of variation orders/change requests.Prepare interim and final accounts.Compare actual costs against planned programme, report and investigate variances.Assist with tender preparation and negotiationThe successful candidate will have gained significant experience in the role of QS within a contracting environment and hold a tertiary qualification in quantity surveying or construction. Whilst not essential, experience of working within the rail industry would be a distinct advantage. You will also be ambitious with a desire to develop yourself and the quantity surveying function.
