Job Title - Business Analyst Location - London Requires DV Clearance In Scope of IR35 About the role / project: This role demands an in-depth practical experience of Business Analysis working to deliver the requirements of a large and complex business area as well as having an awareness of the unique demands / specific challenges of working within secure domains. The role holder must be eligible for DV (STRAP) vetting clearance but be SC (STRAP) vetted as a minimum. The role holder will use their BA skills and experience to inform the ongoing design, development and implementation. Your experience will include: In-depth practical experience of Business Analysis working to manage and deliver the demand/requirements of large, complex MPS and National IT database applications Awareness of the unique demands and specific challenges of working within a secure domain; the role holder must be eligible for DV (STRAP) vetting clearance A track record of extensive business analysis experience through the full software development lifecycles, evidenced by the ability to manage key stakeholders and the production of requirements definitions, specifications and documents to a very high standard. Practical experience in producing 'as-is' and 'to-be' process models using Business Process Model Notation (BPMN) with the ability to undertake 'gap analysis'. Experience in planning, managing and facilitating workshops. Background of working in a structured environment that includes working with 3rd parties / external agencies. Extensive skills in the use of IT. The role holder must be able to assess and mitigate technological risk, recognise the implications of new technologies and understand the impact of new information systems upon the business community. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and ideas to different audiences at all levels of the organisation. Skilled in challenging and encouraging senior business representatives to consider working in an alternative manner. Excellent inter-personal skills: The post holder must be adept at assessing and discussing business options with senior management, the implications of those options and potential or alternative solutions. The post holder must therefore have a high level of interpersonal, communications, business and ICT skills in order to gain credibility with colleagues at all levels. Attitudes and behaviours: The post holder must have the ability to work independently and also as part of a team. They must have the ability to work under pressure, with competing demands and to deadlines. They must have enthusiasm, commitment and determination to achieve results. The post holder must be prepared to challenge attitudes and behaviours Complete analysis of all identified incidents / problems, identify and deliver business requirements, complete application changes (including design of internal scripts) and effectively problem solve and progress in collaboration with internal / external stakeholders meeting timescales for delivery Identify, record and resolve any business related issues raised to prioritise according to risk and timescales. Deliver all work to agreed dates in accordance with delivery plans and timelines. Develop all Intelligence working practices within the scope Provide advice, guidance and subject matter expertise to all users Testing and approval of Supplier solutions. Ability to assimilate, interpret and evaluate information on a wide variety of subjects understanding interdependencies. Ability to analyse complex issues / requirements and present findings in a suitable format Knowledge of IT Sequel queries Qualifications commensurate with role Desirable: A Business Analysis qualification such as BCS Business Analysis Professional Diploma (Formally known as ISEB Business Analysis Diploma).
