Overview
Role: Purchasing Manager (Construction Industry) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (negotiable) Location: Stafford (you will be required to travel to other sites) Type: Permanent Overview 2Fawcett are recruiting for a Purchasing Manager, to join a company located in Stafford on a permanent basis. This is a new position for the business, which makes the Purchasing Manager role even more advantageous. Working closely with the Directors of the business you will be accountable for streamlining current procurement procedures. For this position you will need to come from the Construction Industry. The Role & Responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager Responsible for the management of the purchasing across the Group with a large portfolio size and high spend. Look at the current supply contingency plans, develop and maintain them, develop alternate supply sources. Ensure development of strategic relationships with a select group of suppliers, and ensure current relationships are maintained, look at new suppliers to bring on board. Develop strategies, which will be through Negotiations, Supplier Sourcing, New Product Support, Supplier Evaluation, Contract Negotiation, Cost Modelling. Lead the negotiation strategy development and execution for the regional spend Deliver and commit to cost savings and value goals. Deliver Monthly cost savings and track the status against targets. Skills you will require in the Purchasing Manager Role Negotiation-Seeking to resolve different perspectives or matters of dispute by discovering shared interests and finding mutually acceptable solutions. Sourcing -Identifying, evaluating and engaging suppliers in order to optimize quality and value in the purchase of materials, services and equipment. Project Management : Planning, implementing, monitoring and completing projects.
