Business Development Engineer - Medical Devices - Cambridge A market leading medical devices company based in Cambridge are actively looking for a Business Development Engineer / Manager to take lead within the team and drive new commercial goals and strategy. Working as the face of the business your responsibilities will include working out the best business development plans for the medical devices group, executing said plans, having consultative conversations with new clients and leading obtained projects. With these duties you will need to have a technical development background in the medical devices sector, ideally drug delivery projects. It would be ideal if you have developed from a technical R&D role designing complex devices for the drug delivery sector and have moved into a more commercial role, such as consultant, client facing project manager, business development, sales or another role that involves having continued conversation with internal and external clients. Due to the technical knowledge needed for this role it is expected you would hold a degree within a scientific, engineering or electronics field that focuses on product development. A PhD would also be useful but not essential. This is a very important role that will progress into more responsibility. This extra responsibility will only be limited by your own success. This will be ideal for someone who enjoys working with and leading a R&D team of experts but without having to worry about the man-management side of the role.
