Overview

The leading international customer engagement platform for omnichannel conversion has an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join their team based in London. Their cutting-edge platform enables companies, such as U.S. Bank, ANZ, John Lewis and Lego, to interact with customers, online to offline, and across lines of business, while providing a 360-degree view of the full customer journey. About the role: As their DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a driven and focussed team building and running our platform infrastructure. You'll be working closely with their Development, Product and Information Security People to ensure successful growth and operations of their global product offering. You'll be responsible for designing infrastructure, building and maintaining tools for automation, monitoring day-to-day operations and troubleshooting any roadblocks faced by the technical teams. This role is yours to really shape and grow into. You're able to give consultative advice in the DevOps space, within the team and the wider business, and are excited by implementing positive change in a fast growing company and industry. You will be: Working closely with their Head of Engineering and CTO to improve their DevOps processes and tools, whilst helping them to expand to Azure cloud hosting alongside existing AWS infrastructure Helping to extend central configuration management, monitoring and automation tools Implementing DevOps best practices alongside the wider Engineering and Technical teams, to ensure their systems are able to continuously scale, remain stable and are secure Evolving and executing daily operational activities and proactively identifying issues and optimisations in a timely manner Requirements: Impeccable communication and an ability to explain complex technical architectures to those less fluent Solid practical experience of operating Docker and Kubernetes in production Experience building and improving workflows and processes, and monitoring the effectiveness of existing processes and tools Extensive experience establishing and owning service deployments in Azure; Ideally with complimentary AWS experience Experience of web protocols and scripting languages Familiarity with Puppet, Terraform or similar configuration/infrastructure as code tools Knowledge of web service delivery and security tools, as well as the communication protocols and paths between components What's on offer: Strong culture makes this a great place to work They care deeply about the growth and happiness of every member of their team A diverse, inclusive company Office personal learning days Discounted health insurance and dental Mental health support 24 hr GP Monthly social events An office designed for collaboration, fun and wellbeing Company stock options Work/life balance Flexible working options to help you strike the right balance Sounds interesting?
