HEAD OF IT PROCUREMENT - LEADING UTILTIES GIANT - TRANSFORMATION - £90-100K 30% BONUS PACKAGE Following the arrival of a new Procurement Director, UK's leading utilities provider is looking to bring on confident Head of IT Procurement to join them on a journey to revolutionise procurement across the group, with focus on digital IT. With over £1bn of investments into their networks and infrastructure this year alone, the right candidate will be at the forefront of a huge transformation which will span across not only IT procurement but across the wider group. The Head of IT Procurement will be heavily embedded across all sub-categories including hardware, software, networks, infrastructure and digital IT, focusing less on traditional category management and more on IT procurement transformation, whilst developing and growing the current team. The Head of IT Procurement will be responsible for: Work closely with the Procurement Director to revolutionise the IT Procurement category, develop strategy and expansion plans to build out the wider procurement function. Have ownership over a large global spend portfolio covering a wide range of IT & Technology categories (Software, Hardware, Services, Web Apps, Cloud etc) with a strong focus on digital IT procurement. Own key stakeholder relationships across the UK up to Board-level Work alongside the Procurement Leadership Team on innovative category strategies to achieve cost savings but more importantly establish fruitful relationships with some of the world's largest suppliers Create and implement your own process, moving away from traditional public sector procurement to more strategic fast-moving function. Head of IT procurement requirements: Extensive IT procurement and strategic sourcing experience, with an impeccable track record of handling £ multi-million spends and delivering significant cost savings Spearheaded large-scale procurement projects across the technology procurement categories (Software, Hardware, Services, Web Apps, Cloud and digital IT) Prior exposure to any utilities firms beneficial but not essential Degree MCIPS (desired but not essential) This is a great opportunity for a senior procurement with extensive experience across IT procurement to join a company as they enter a period of transformation.
