Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Machinist within Avonside Engineering. We are based in a modern, clean and spacious worshop and we manufacture parts for a wide variety of industries. Due to an increase in demand we are looking for another machinist to join our busy production team. CNC Miller Job Summary: The candidate must have experience in programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines. They must be capable of working to meet strict deadlines to produce one-off parts and/or production parts. They must be reliable, flexible, self-motivated and able to work independently to a very high standard. Experience of Hurco conversational programming language would be an advantage, as would experience of programming with OneCNC. The candidate must be able to understand engineering drawings and be responsible for programming from scratch, selecting tooling, setting and operating the CNC machinery. Experience with operating conventional machinery would be an advantage as from time to time the candidate would be expected to perform conventional machining tasks as the need arises. Requirements: - Must have an eye for detail and quality, as products must be finished to a high standard. - Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. - Must be self-motivated, flexible and reliable. - Must be able to problem solve and have a hands on approach. - Will have good verbal & written communication skills. Core working hours: 8.00am-5.00pm Mon to Thurs and 8.00am-2.00pm Friday. Overtime is readily available. Holiday entitlement: 25 days Bank holidays
