Overview
Penwortham Out of School Care Manager, SW16 6RJ To act in loco parentis in all relevant matters in order to ensure the safety and well-being of the children attending the Centre, taking account of the social, educational and recreational needs of the children. To work as the lead member of the senior management structure of the Group. To establish routines and practice that ensure high standards of childcare are maintained and met at all times. To demonstrate a sensitivity and understanding of the children's individual needs working in partnership with other members of staff and parents, to create a warm and caring environment. To demonstrate a positive attitude to combat sex, race, class and religious discrimination, by practical application. To ensure that information is appropriately recorded regarding development of individual children, and shared with their parent/carer. To encourage staff members to develop children's self-confidence, independence and social relationships. To supervise, support and appropriately direct the work of the out of school care staff to ensure the effective delivery of service. To ensure the needs of the staff are taken into consideration. Must have proven track record of managing a diverse childcare setting and working with primary aged children. Candidates should demonstrate a vision to develop this service to provide holiday care. Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in childcare and an understanding of Safeguarding children.
