Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer - £35,000-£45,000 (DOE) - Portsmouth Area Hydraulic Systems Designer / Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer required to join a leading brand name and growing manufacturer in the Portsmouth area. As the successful Hydraulic Systems Designer / Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of hydraulic systems, taking projects from initial design specification to final production. The Package: Salary- £35,000-£45,000 Working Hours - 08:00-16:15 (Monday-Thursday) & 08:00-15:00 (Friday) Pension Scheme 25 days holiday bank holidays The Role: Primarily designing and developing hydraulic systems, you will take projects from initial design specifications, having responsibility for new circuit design of custom hydraulic circuits, ensuring that they are perfectly matched to applications. The designs will involve the selection of both fixed and variable displacement pumps, and specification of motors and valves to suit each application. You will be familiar with hydraulic reservoir design, using both AC and DC mounted pump motors. You will calculate circuit performance and create a cost effective solution. Alongside trouble-shooting of existing systems, you will carry out testing of newly designed systems within the in-house test facility. Requirements: You will ideally be educated to Degree level in mechanical engineering with training/ qualifications in hydraulics. You will ideally need to have a background in mobile and/or industrial hydraulics, modular industrial valves, proportional load sense valves or pumps. You will be familiar with hydraulic reservoir design, using both AC and DC mounted pump motors. You will be able to calculate circuit performance and create a cost effective solution.
