To be considered for the role of Learner Mentor, our client is looking for you to have extensive IT Apprenticeships delivery experience. As the Learner Mentor for DevOps Engineer you will be supporting learners to gain their Level 4 qualifications. It will be your job as the DevOps expert to create, strengthen and own relationships with Employers and Apprentices. Manage the progression of a caseload of 40-50 Apprentices (dependent on nature of portfolio). Take overall responsibility for each Apprentice’s journey, providing pastoral care, ensure apprentices are efficiently signposted to the resources they need for success. Provide 1st level functional skills support and co-ordinate 2nd/3rd level help. Organise infill training to support the courses attended by each Apprentice. Ensure that each Apprentice has a record that is accurate and funding compliant. Meet KPIs, including; success and timely success measures, the business value of DevOps in terms of Time, Cost, Quality, Automation techniques, such as scripting and use of APIs, Test Driven Development and the Test Pyramid and How the practice is underpinned by unit testing, the difference between Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) v bespoke v enterprise tooling and maintain an awareness of cloud certification requirements.
