Social Housing Paralegal
Overview
This is a leading firm that provides practical, high quality and commercially relevant legal services to the public, private and third sector organisations. The role includes working with clients across central and local government, NHS commissioning and provider organisations, 40 housing associations and over 100 private sector companies. The firm currently seeks a social housing paralegal with demonstrable previous property experience in dealing with sales work. You will join the Social Housing Team based at the Leeds office where it acts mostly for Housing Associations, providing advice on all aspects of property law. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy team on a wide range of property matters, predominantly focussing on sales for our Housing Association clients including: shared ownership re-sale price covenant outright sales land disposals You will also support the partners with the acquisition from developers (completion statements, liaising about completion dates, priority searches etc.) and support the team on security work (reviewing searches, reviewing titles, assisting in preparing disclosures for certificates of title). This is a very supportive environment which will provide on the job training for the social housing aspects of the role. You will receive ongoing support daily from the more experienced lawyers. Although previous Social Housing experience is not essential for this role, an interest in Social Housing would therefore be an advantage.
