Overview
Governing Body Clerk – Part time Scale KR5 (Part time £10.43 per hour) Start date: As soon as possible The school’s Governing Body are seeking to appoint a motivated and efficient Clerk. The primary role of the Clerk is to provide advice and guidance to the Governing Body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. Training will be provided if required. A professional clerk will contribute towards the efficient functioning of a governing body and its committees by providing: administrative and organisational support, including preparation and circulation of Minutes and Agendas. guidance to ensure that the GB works in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework, and understands the potential consequences for non-compliance, and advice on procedural matters relating to its operation. The Clerk will be accountable to the GB and will work closely alongside the Chair, Headteacher and School Business Manager. The candidate must have their own transport and will be required to support the meetings of the full GB at Hunton School at 4pm, six times a year, and a small number of committee meetings.
