Overview

iOS Developer – South West London - £40,000 - £50,000 annual bonuses My client is a leader in the design and manufacture of both remote controlled motorised as well as high-end architectural luminaires, with a reputation for flexibility and delivering premium quality products. The award winning design team have developed products that have made their way into prestigious projects such as the Shard, Natural History Museum, V&A, Science Museum along with worldwide rollouts for Mulberry and flagship stores for brands such as Superdry. The company currently have around 40 employees, many of them having come from other parts of the world to work with them, and turnover approximately £5m per year. They have plans to grow this to £10m by 2023 and therefore need some additional expertise in order to achieve this mission. They will be moving into new markets, possibly an outdoor lighting solution and are already involved in the commercial, retail and hospitality sectors. They very much see wireless lighting control technology as the future of their business & the industry in general. Due to these growth plans they now require an iOS Developer to help them achieve their aims of launching new products and service offerings. You will need experience of having developed at least a couple of iOS Apps from start to finish as well as ideally having some knowledge of Hardware, Software and C Programming skills. Candidates without this full experience will certainly be considered, but you will require the ability to learn quickly. Their main current system comprises an iPad through a dedicated mediator box which includes embedded Linux and a wireless module and which communicates with a wireless module in the luminaire. There is also available, as an option, use of an iPad to control the lighting using an award winning system called iDirect. Imminent developments include further exploitation of iOS application to communicate with the luminaire using the company's controls system. The historical standard technology for the company consists of a dedicated handheld controller which consists of a laser pointer identifier and an infra red communications medium. The journey ahead for the business is very exciting and they are looking for someone who wants to join them on a long-term basis and help them see their growth plans to fruition.
