IT Controls Analyst Cardiff About the company… Traditionally not known for their technical capabilities our client is completing multiple transformations. The technical teams keep the company at the forefront of technology and as the company scales in projects and size, they have an exciting IT department that are constantly thinking of new ways to improve their functions. About you… Reporting to the IT Risk & Compliance Manager, you will have a good background within Control Analysis and be competent delivering assurance to the IT department adherence to legislation, regulation and inhouse strategy. You'll feel confident assessing the effectiveness of controls for main services and systems, with the ability to advise the risk register and drive improvement actions. What you'll be doing… •Working closely with internal teams such as Facilities/Compliance, ensuring IT are compliant and conscious with policy requirements •Liaise closely with IT Risk & Compliance Management, assessing Compliance Risk, developing strategies to alleviate these •Control and oversee periodic assurance actions, ensuring compliance is sustained •Work with the Risk Department to identify and document possible risks across the business •Assisting support to projects, programmes and initiatives What we're ideally looking for… •Ability to engage across all levels of the business; from stakeholder advise through to technical recommendations with analyst / engineers. •Ideally experienced within an IT Control Analyst position, able to assess the control effectiveness within the IT landscape and provide detailed reports back to the business. •A good technical understanding of performing audit functions, with strong analytical skills Desirable…. In an ideal world, you'll also have a strong awareness of regulatory requirements within the Financial Services industry. You'll have already been trained in Audit, Compliance and Risk controls; maybe you've worked with Jira or Confluence before, or have some training in ITIL. Even better if you've had exposure to ISO 27001.
