Overview
We are currently searching for a Financial Controller for our client in Bristol city centre. The Financial Controller is a knowledgeable Finance Professional reporting directly to the Finance Director. The Financial Controller is responsible for leading and managing the day to day functions of our Finance and Procurement department and team, ensuring that strict deadlines are met for monthly management reporting. Strong organisational, business systems and Excel skills are a key requirement for this role as is the ability to challenge, negotiate and to make suggestions for improvement in a busy, fast paced business. Line management and managerial experience is essential for our Finance Controller as is an ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop a team. The role: Ensuring the accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of management accounts and group consolidations Preparation of monthly board reports Reporting to internal and external stakeholders Quarterly VAT returns Oversee AR/AP ledgers Cashflow reporting Preparation of monthly payroll Run the annual audit process, assist with statutory accounts and CT computations and returns Requirements: Outstanding attention to detail Excellent communicator Familiar with accounting software like Xero Experienced in preparing management accounts Ideally: Industry and practice experience, ideally previous startup experience Experience implementing new systems, processes and controls Experience managing a small team / developing junior team members If you interested in the role, please get in touch with the team as soon as possible.
