Overview
As a Weighbridge Operator you'll be contributing to an ever growing and very well established business in Doncaster. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that the companies Health, Safety and Environmental rules and management systems are complied with at all times The wearing of correct PPE is mandatory at all sites and is a condition of your employment. Performing incoming and outgoing weights of all materials Checking that all required documents are present and properly completed (to new SMD License requirements) Ensure that every customer/supplier enters the site via the weighbridge and is aware of the site rules. Ensure that, if necessary, of all legally required paperwork, a copy is issued to the administration department Tidying and keeping tidy of the weighbridge and its surroundings, whereby any waste is deposited in the designated container(s). See to it that the weighbridge tickets are filled in as accurately and complete as possible. Performing a first quality inspection of the delivered material, remain in contact with yard employees and if necessary implement a quality claim and in extreme cases, in collaboration with the yard manager and the commercial department, ensuring that a rejected load is returned. Ensure that the weighbridge and weighbridge software works well and report any issues to the relevant department as soon as they arise See to it that the radioactivity detection equipment works and ensure that any messages (including ghost reports) are archived.
