Bookkeeper & Payroll Clerk | From £25,000 | Palmer's Green | About the Company My client is a 2 partner Accountancy Practice based in Palmers Green in North London. They have been in business for many years and have a well-established client based made up of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. The practice undertakes substantial amounts of bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, accounts preparation and audit for a wide range of companies including retails companies, business services and charities. The key duties of the role will be as follows: Preparing and processing client payroll Working for several clients both at the practice and at client premises Carrying out bank reconciliations Posting transactions to the sales and purchase ledgers Reconciling ledgers against statements Posting journal entries on the accounts where appropriate Preparing management accounts Calculating and preparing VAT returns Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts Using SAGE Xero IRIS advantage Experience Required: Must be Proficient in all areas of payroll At least 3-5 years’ experience bookkeeping A solid understanding of all aspects of double entry bookkeeping Excellent communication and organisational skills
