Overview
IT Support Technician - IT Support, Hardware and application support, Desktop, Server, Networking, software - Eastleigh - an all action IT hero role looking at a wide range of IT support and project work This role is providing a range of support from 1stline through to resolution in most cases, working as part of a small but multi-skilled team. It's not just day to day troubleshooting, you'll also get involved in a mix of upgrade and project work and there's an interesting mix of conventional IT problems and some bespoke systems to get your head around with support to grow your skills. You'll need a solid understanding of IT and ideal applicants will have a relevant degree or technical certifications (such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA for example) but enthusiasm to learn and pick up new skills is massively important too The role will cover a range of the following - Windows desktop support Basic Microsoft Server Administration Some Active Directory and Group Policy administration Basic Networking - routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points Good IT hardware troubleshooting knowledge Racking and stacking server hardware A bit of website administration The role is office based but as part of a wider group there may be travel to providing support to other offices.In return a salary of up to £18k is on offer (dependent on experience).
