MAIN JOB PURPOSE The role of the User Acceptance Tester is vital to ensuring great overall user experience for Nominet's Cyber Security customers. By understanding all proposed changes in order to prepare and execute the necessary test coverage, you will ensure delivery of requirements and mitigate any potential negative impact to production. As part of a wider QA team in business, as UAT Tester you will review current UAT processes and procedures, as well as suggesting improvements and embed methodology into the team which may include implementing automated processes with the aim to reduce errors and business risk. JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the QA Lead and following Agile methodology, you will be required to provide UAT for Nominet’s flagship Cyber Security product. Working with the necessary stakeholders across the business, you will ensure the requirements and impact of deliverables are fully understood, placing the customer experience forefront and ensuring any gaps are identified early. This will enable you to deliver clearly defined test cases which are peer-reviewed and agreed prior to execution. You will be required to follow aligned formats, processes and prioritisation for test case and defect management; providing regular test execution and defect reports to the QA Lead, as well as producing Test Entry and Sign-off documents. Following successful execution and sign-off within a test environment, you will support implementation into Production via go-live testing; providing assurance to the QA Lead that the delivered changes meet the specified business needs. KEY REQUIREMENTS Proven experience in a UAT testing role Knowledge of development/project life cycle, alongside Agile methodology. Customer-centric approach and passionate about continuous improvement in order to drive a best-in-class customer experience. The ability to manage your own time in a time-critical role and work comfortably within an environment of ambiguity and a high degree of complexity. Strong organisational skills with a great attention to detail Experience with test automation methodologies. Basic familiarity with automation frameworks and latest industry trends.
