Overview

Electrical and electronic engineering is everywhere. From fitting out advanced warship systems to designing cutting-edge augmented reality products, we provide our customers with better capability, reliability and availability of their critical assets. You’ll spend between two to four years getting involved in anything from defence engineering to complex nuclear projects. Where you can join us Places on our Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme for Autumn 2020 are available in our marine sector. But no matter which team you join, you could be based anywhere in the UK. That’s why we ask all our graduates to be flexible and willing to move during their programme. What you'll be doing Working in a discipline of such fundamental importance means that you could work on anything. You could be on the team designing submarines, refitting warships, or helping to build the UK’s next generation of nuclear power plants. The possibilities are endless. Day-to-day, you could find yourself working on electrical power distribution or electrical control and instrumentation, involving both analogue and digital systems. Our graduates get involved in everything from concept design and AutoCAD layouts to testing, installation, commissioning and handover to clients. You’ll be working within multidisciplinary teams, investigating solutions to engineering problems. You may also find yourself managing projects and leading your own team.
