Overview
Location: Bridgend Benefits: 28 days holiday, Pension Commutable locations: South Wales. Are you a General Assembly Group Leader with experience within the automotive industry that is looking to join an exciting business and to be part of an innovative, challenging and special project? My client is looking for a candidate with experience and a passion for automotive excellence that can provide an adaptable and forward-thinking approach to their business. During the early stages of their role, the General Assembly Group Leader will need to be open to and capable of travelling to Austria, Germany, Portugal and London to visit other sites. OVERVIEW: The General Assembly Group Leader will be responsible for the efficient operation of the assembly production including liaison with all areas of Supply Chain and Production to ensure that components are available in a timely manner for assembly. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a team of Assemblers and General Assistants to ensure they are working to schedule and producing high quality parts. Responsible for ordering and maintenance of parts and components. Ensure routine maintenance of the assembly line is completed in a timely manner. Following general assembly manuals and quality control processes Consulting on and resolving quality issues as they arise Provide training and procedure updates to all employees Working in a safe manner, following safety procedures in an automotive assembly environment Must comply with all ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSA (Health and Safety) systems and standards Visual inspection of vehicle parts General housekeeping duties when required DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience within a leader role in a General Assembly environment Comfortable using common hand and power tools Previous assembly or management apprenticeship/qualifications is an asset but not required Able to read and interpret basic instruction manuals an advantage Able to manage a team of assembly associates and supervisors Experience in manufacturing environments For more information please contact Meg at Omega on or email Meg on .
