Overview
A London and UK property developer and investor with an excellent track record are looking to grow the investment team with a view to expanding its London Portfolio. The business is looking for a Development Analyst to work directly under the Investment Director and CEO. Role: Filter opportunities issued by the Investment Director and carry out initial appraisals. Prepare analysis on potential acquisitions, enabling a quick turnaround to establish whether the project meets investment criteria and should be progressed. Thorough and detailed research of the market. Evaluate the design and work with architects to determine massing that can be achieved. Liaison with the Development Team to determine the build cost and programme. Identifying project risks and the action plan to mitigate the project risks. Financial modelling of the project: verifying revenue, operating costs, valuation and taxation assumptions and running sensitivities. Transaction execution. Work alongside the Investment Director to manage the due diligence and acquisition process; co-ordination of legal, financial, tax and technical due diligence; ensuring due diligence and acquisition timescales are met and costs are kept tightly under control. Equity procurement. Work with the Investment Director to secure equity funding during the planning stage of each development. Bank debt procurement. Work with the Investment Director to secure debt funding. Project manage the legal process to completion of the facility documents. Ensuring tight control over development costs with Development Team. Managing use of contingency on the project and ensuring project remains on budget. Experience: Experience as an Investment or Development Analyst in Real Estate Strong modelling skills, building acquisition models and development cash-flow models Experience of presenting investment cases to an investment committee Experience working with third parties
