Overview
An exciting project based organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne are actively looking to hire a permanent ACA qualified accountant to take on their business partnering, technical controls and project accounting responsibilities. The role sits between the central finance function and the project managers/QS's etc. Internal stakeholder management will be a key aspect of the role. As such, strong communication skills are required. Previous exposure to a project based organisation would be a benefit but not a requirement for the role. The position would be suitable for newly qualified ACA candidates who are looking to break into industry. Alternatively, you would be suitable if you are ACA qualified and have gained industry experience already and would like to break into a dynamic business partner, project based role. Advanced Excel skills are required with a strong understanding of systems and accounting processes. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, enthusiastic and motivated by a dynamic & fast-paced environment. The ability to challenge and influence will be important factors. Key responsibilities are as follows: Project control Costing Budgets and forecasts Controlling spend Internal controls Reporting into internal finance team Liaising with operations and management Adhoc. accounting requirements
